Thanks to FastTrac, the inspiring and dedicated small business owners that exhibited and those who stopped by my table.
According to the F.B.I., Puerto Rico has more murders than anywhere in the U.S. Puerto Rico with a population of over 4 million ended the year of 2004 with higher homicide rate than the three largest cities in the U.S., with 790 murders reported during 2004. More than the cities of New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. With comparable population, Puerto Rico was number one in homicides. According to the Puerto Rican Police Department, 75% of the homicides could be related to drug trafficking. Fact also is that in 1994, Puerto Rico had the infamous honor to be recognized of being named a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and also a High Intensity Financial Crime Area by the federal government.
