Thank you Judith! It was an amazing experience. Hearing the words out loud, read so well made Omaha and Maruquita come alive! My dad would have been so proud to hear the response and laughter at the lines he wrote. It was a great honor to be a part of the tribute. With love, Alyson
I listened to part of this book reading marathon. The event had a good mix of readers, which included writers, journalists, community leaders and artists. MediaNoche paid a nice tribute to the late Ed Vega.
It was a wonderful experience. Not only is this a great way to engage with a novel, but I was honored by being in the presence of Mr. Vega Yunque's friends and loved ones. This was the perfect way to eulogize him, and for people unfamiliar with him and his work to come to an understanding of the man behind the page. Thanks Judith & the whole crew who made it possible.
